BAMAChips Dyno Tuning in the DC Area !!!

BAMACHIPS Dyno Tune Day In Fairfax Virginia.
Doug at Bamachips is one of the Top S197 Mustang Tuners in the Nation so reserve your spot now.
PM Me if Interested
Saturday July 19th 2008
9am - ??
He can bring handheld tuners with him, but intake kits would be too large and would cost him extra to bring on the plane, just let Doug know before hand and he can send them to you and then you can just bring them along to the Dyno Tune and we will install it there.
300.00 for N/A Tunes and 400.00 for FI Tunes, if you need a FI tune, please contact Doug beforehand and give him the details on your car.

OK so this is your first post and you're telling us about someone I've never heard of or yourself for that matter. Not trying to be rude at all, but it might help if you introduce yourself and tell up a lil bit about yourself. (just think you went about it the wrong way) Personally, I wouldn't let any unknown touch my car w/o having some back ground or info from ppl that have used them. That's just me though.

I think most of their work is with SCTs, but I've definitely heard good things about him. He's like the Michael Jordan of tuning S197s apparently.

Sorry,
My Name is Scott and I own a 2005 Mustang GT (auto), I live in Manassas, VA and belong to the Northern Virginia Mustang Club
I have been trying to find a Top notch tuner for my car in the area without any luck. I found BAMAChips online and he made a Mail order tune for me that was better than any Dyno tune I got locally. I ran my car last November at Buds Creek "MIR" and ran a 12.83 @ 106.66 with just bolt-ons.
I belong to several forums online like MustangForums, S197forum, and the MustangCollective.
Pro50SC,
I have seen tou around on the boards, I am suprized you have not heard about BAMAchips. The top Tuners in the US are Justin @ VMP, Fred @ Evolution, Brent @ Brendspeed and Doug @ Bamachips... these guys are the best of the best

Re: BAMAChips Dyno Tuning in the DC Area !!!
A Bama tune/tuner was my first choice but at the point I was in the market he was really busy and could not get to me. So I ended up with a Brenspeed tune and sct tuner that I am very happy with. I spoke to Doug once on the phone and got a lot of good info from him. Very nice guy but in high demand. Bamachip and Brenspeed are known to have the best tunes and customer service. I would like to go just to meet him face to face.
Re: BAMAChips Dyno Tuning in the DC Area !!!
Folks, Doug at BAMACHIPS is one of THE premier SCT tuners for the S197 (I can't speak to earlier Mustang platforms). If I wasn't fully satisfied with Woodbine Motorsports and their dynotunes, I would be happy to pay a PREMIUM fee to have him dynotune my car--he's that good, has an impeccable customer service reputation, and is in heavy demand nationwide. I wish I could participate!
2K05GT, welcome to our forums here. I think we've spoken on the NVMC forums, and may have met at one of your fantastic track days at Mason Dixon...

Wow, that's awesome you had such good luck w/ a mail order tune. You're a better man than I for taking a chance like that. Nope, never heard of them before now. I'm sure I'll see you at the NVMC drag days. Plan on going to a few of them again this year.2K05GT wrote:PRO50SC wrote:OK so this is your first post and you're telling us about someone I've never heard of or yourself for that matter. I guess since I have an outdated foxbody, a tune like that would not be benificial to me. Guess that's why mine is dyno tuned the old school way.
Like I said, I wasn't trying to bust your balls, it's just nice to know who someone is when recommending a shop/tuner the way you did.
Welcome once again and hope to see you at some of the monthly meets.

No problem, I just assumed that most knew of him because I hang out mostly in the S197 areas where Computer tuning is the rage..
Most of the S197 and SN95 guys and gals know who I am talking about and thats who I was trying to target here since the more people we get the cheaper it should be for all. I do understand about your concern about unknow shops I have gone to many of them on the recomandation of others, and they have turned out to be hacks... so no offense..

Re: BAMAChips Dyno Tuning in the DC Area !!!
I got my mail order tuner/tune from Brent(Brenspeed) and have been satisfied with it as it enabled my full weight/OEM tires/automatic to run a 13.34@104+ with only 4.10s, O/R H pipe and CAI! I've heard great things about Doug(Bamachips) for several years, but chose Brent. I would seriously give his tune a try to see the difference, but as I won't be drag racing anymore this year and money is really tight now anyhow, I'm going to have to pass on this great offer. Thanks for the post Scott!
