Yes my estimate was for just the parts and labor. I am ordering the High flow cats though dont feel like messing with emmissions. they said that the motor mount had to be changed?

Fitment of longtube headers on S197s has been problematic due to the tight quarters. Replacing the motor mounts lowers the engine just a bit, in fact, just enough to ensure that one of the headers doesn't bang into the frame when cornering or going over a bump--I think the passenger side is the worse side. My tubular k-member from BMR had integrated motor mounts, and that provided plenty of room down there.

Soooo, let's see:

JBA headers and catted h: $950
Prothane motor mounts: $140
6 hrs labor: $480

$1570

See, I just don't get it, unless JPC is getting the header package at retail cost, and that doesn't make any sense.

Are you also getting a tune or having them adjust the tune for 02 sensor issues????

Here is what i got 667sjs JBA header 891.95, 6675shc H-pipe w/cats 449.95, 02 sensor extensions (2) 69.90, urethane engine mounts 159.99 labor 800.00, custom tune for long tube 50.00 and shop materials of 30.00 2645.05 with tax.

Personally, I have the utmost respect for JPC, their cars and the owner. They build some of the baddest ass Mustangs around and have proven themselves on the track time and time again. I'd love to work in that shop.

That being said, I think the price on your parts is high, the labor is high (10 hours???) but the tune sounds just right. it's your money, again, I'd shop around and sincerely think that if you got the parts yourself and went to Woodbine Motorsports, you'd save a significant amount.

If I had the time, I'd help you do it in my driveway. But it's a two day job if you do it yourself with jackstands and no lift, impact tools, etc.

I really appreciate it. maybe I will work with them on this. I just sold the 92 vert to a guy that i now know drives for Justin. JPC is who worked on my 92 with the new motor. Now they pulled the 306 out and gave it back to me. He knew I had the motor and was looking to sell the blown 306. When the guy that bought my car showed up last night to pick up the motor he told me that Justin was getting it from him for another customers job. I dont understand how he would do a customer that spent about 8-9k with him like that. now the guy that installed the motor in the first place was working for himself but now works in his shop. I think I am going to stop going there, think I got taken both on the sale of the car and the motor work. I will look into woodbine. Where are they located and what is there number. I appreciate all the information. I will need the rear brakes done to I just got a hold of a set of wilwood slotted rotors complete 4 wheel conversion. I think I can do the front in my garage back axles need to come out and dont want to mess with that

Woodbine Motorsports is in Carroll County. Pasadena? Let's see Rt 97 to Rt 32 towards Columbia. Take that to I70 W. Get off on Rt 94 (woodbine road) and go North, oh two miles maybe? Gillis Falls Road, take left, 1/2 mile on right (house with garage, lots of Mustangs and Lightnings on property). Call JJ at 410-259-8737. Telll him John White sent you and you want an estimate on all your work.

I'm 10 minutes farther north, by the way...

Sweet thanks alot. You have been a wealth of knowledge. I am going to install the predator and jlt CAI this weekend. I may attempt to install the front wilwood brake kit as well as the bassani x pipe that I have right now. I want to have the cash in hand before i order any more parts and worry about install money. I love this car and want to do it right the first time go around. I only really use it for show and want a little go if I need it. I am looking at maybe doing all the supercharger work and headers at the same time.
